Platinum Banking means nothing!
I travel very often and have always enjoyed the SLOW lounge which came free with the FNB Platinum account. After a visit in August 2015 and another two visits in October 2015 I visited the SLOW lounge again in December 2015. In December the receptionist at the SLOW lounge informed me that the rules had changed and that I should just check in the available booklet whether I am eligible. For the first time I am informed that I am no longer eligible because I ONLY have a cheque card and not a credit card as well. I then go back on my statements to realise I have been paying R250 for each visit to the lounge since July 2015. When I queried this with FNB, they simply state that an email was sent in June 2015. Why was I only informed at the SLOW lounge in DECEMBER? I located the email and it does not clearly state the changes, but gives a link. When I click on the link it gives a 404 Error that the page cannot be found. I have asked FNB to give me the steps to downgrade my account since I am paying a premium for no additional benefits but I have not received any response. This is really poor and as a Platinum banking member I really expect more from FNB!
