Personals Loans Not giving calls back as promised

I've app**** for a loan and after calling them on the status, I was informed that they need to "voice log" before they release the funds. They have escalated a call to the department and informed me that I will receive a call before end of business day. Today I was told the same and that they have a back log and its not my problem if they have a backlog. They said I will expect a call before close of business day. If they have a back log they shouldn't tell me I will get a call before end of business day.
