Personal Loan Settlement
The current balance of my smart spend loan is at 29 342.00 for a loan I have been paying for 5 months at R1322.00 monthly. The consultant refuses to change the period of my loan so that I can close it quicker. I requested a settlement amount and I was told it is R29 900.00 which is more than my current balance. I wanted to make an arrangement to close my loan in x3 payments but they refused!!! This is unacceptable and ridiculous *******!!! They want to keep people in debt so they make ore money out of them. When have you ever heard a settlement amount more than current balance??? I took this loan to boost my credit score but since last year July from the Loan amount of 30 000.00 I still owe 29 342.00 after 5 payments because they decided to apply a payment break in Jan and did not deduct. I never asked them for any break and with that break obviously the interest will go up the following month!!!
It's very strange that they can give me an unwanted break when it suits them but not an arrangement to settle the account. So if I were to settle it today and pay the "R29 900.00" it would mean I lost over R6000.00 worth of installments for a R30 000.00 loan!!!!
I am so angry!!!
