Personal Loan Debit Order

So I took out a personal loan with FNB in April 2017, because I bank with them. I signed a quotation detailing the terms and conditions, cost of credit etc, and with my first debit order date being 31/05/2017...... however the debit order goes off today the 24th, my salary only comes in tomorrow! I called FNB to query this and the consulatnt that answers my call tells me that my salary gets paid on the 24th of each month so thats when my debit order goes off..... Maybe these fools know something that I dont, because my salary gets paid on the 25th of each month unless the 25th falls on a public holiday or weekend, then it gets paid on the friday or day before the public holiday. Dont you look at the history of the account.... not just the month before but at least 6 months so you can see what date is accurate, but regardless off my salary date, what I signed on says 31st being the debit order date. So for a financial institution to unilaterally deviate from the terms that the customer agreed to and signed for is a breach of contract. The debit order date should only be moved if I agree or authorise it. I want someone to call me that is capable of sticking to the quotation that I agreed to and signed for.

Hi Naomi

I still have not been contacted by the Personal Loans department to rectify the situation or for them to provide any feedback. Not even my telephonic request on 24/05/2017 to have the debit order moved, was actioned by the *********** agent that took my call. My online banking still says that the next installment date is 24 June 2017, and even the installment amount is higher than the signed credit agreement. This is very concerning, knowing that I bank and have taken additional financial products with FNB, and this is the way they conduct themselves. This is absolutely appalling!
