Persistent sales agent

Fnb credit card decision called me, and the consultant that spoke to me was trying to sell me some or other debt protection plan. She made it sound like it was my birthday and that's why I qualify or something.

Turns out they are trying to sell me R90 000 cover @R95 per month. I spoke to my partner who is an accountant \ actuary and he said no don't take it. So I kindly rejected the offer with a thanks.

She then persisted with R ********** rand here and some more figures there trying to get me to say yes. I told her again I am not interested. She then went on and on about how I should take it and all the other customers take it, making me sound like a fool for not taking a policy which I feel is too expensive for what I receive back.

She asked me why am I being so rude and not taking the policy to which I answered as I client if someone is being so persistent and I have declined 3 times, anybody will get angry! And she said not not everybody and it sounded like she wanted to argue, at that point I hung up.

I have been a loyal customer. No defaults, perfect payer, since I was 16. I feel I deserve better than that and will be seeking better services elsewhere if this happens again.
