Pensioner's account frozen, frailcare rent overdue: FNB does not care about it's elderly customers
I have made several attempts to supply the documents needed to unfreeze my elderly father's account but to know avail. I realise that the bank must adhere to KYC regulations but this is ridiculous.
Initially they asked for proof of residence and a colour copy of photo ID. Would not accept photo of ID so sent a scan. Now they tell me I must take my dad to an FNB branch to have his fingerprints taken.
He is 76, wheelchair-bound and in frailcare. There is no FNB in the town where he lives. Please make this make sense. I'm just trying to pay his rent which is now more than a month overdue.
