pension fund interest granted from former spouse working for FNB

hi. I recently had my divorce final and was granted 50% pension fund interest from my ex spouse ( who is an FNB employee). I wanted to do the claim (local FNB branch manager advised my ex spouse must do that) sent him all the documents. Since we're not really on good speaking terms he wont tell me what's happening. I went online to make enquiries on the FNB website. one of their consultants called me back, shortly after the call I got an email that stated "our HR department advised that they won't intervene in this matter regarding the pension fund for as long as your ex husband works fro FNB. The fund will only be released upon death or resignation ". I don't want the whole fund but "pension fund interest until the date when the divorce decree was made out". that is what is stated on my divorce decree. I am truly disappointed in the service I have received as I have read up on this and I don't agree on the "silent" decision I am given.

Good Day innocentiax,

Thank you for your email.

Kindly be advised that is the process.

Please note that this is a personal matter between you your ex husband and the lawyers .

You are advised to take this up with them as FNB has no right to intervene.

It is also process for the bank to pay only upon death or resignation.

Kind regards,
