Pension Backed Lending

Dear FNB Pension Home Loans Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my concerns regarding my recent pension backed home loan application.

I app**** for a home loan amounting to R200k. However, I recently received a decline letter indicating that my application was for R1.10 , which is drastically lower than the requested amount.

Additionally, I would like to highlight the challenges I faced during the application process. After submitting all required documents on the first day, I got the automated response then I had to call couple of days later to get status up. Then I was told my application is assigned to Nicolas Govender. Nicolas sent an email asking for signature on last page of documents with no clear instructions on where to send or reply to. After that I did not receive any communication from the assigned consultant, Mr. Nicholas Govender. I had to proactively reach out multiple times to confirm whether my documents were received.

Moreover, the communication from Mr. Govender was minimal and unclear, and I did not receive adequate guidance, which was quite confusing.

I am also concerned about the reason given for the decline, as I have verified that my credit status is up-to-date and there are no outstanding debts.

I kindly request a detailed review of my application and an explanation for the discrepancies. I would also appreciate guidance on how we can proceed to ensure a fair assessment.
