PayPal/First National Bank Disappointment

I have been trying to set up a PayPal link for our business as we have an international regular project for which we will be receiving income via PayPal. Business Account is with Standard Bank. A PayPal link to the business can only be facilitated through FNB.

Firstly I went into a branch and was told I needed a personal profile with FNB in order to receive the funds into local Standardbank business account. Which didn’t make sense but I did it anyway. Then I was told that there was an old ***** case on the account that was preventing me from doing it. They supposedly resolved this. I already had a personal profile (no current accounts) from over 13 years ago. I was told that it took 2 to 24 hours to be verified when I linked the card. Anyway I went home, did the linkage and waited for the verification that should’ve take 2 to 24 hours. I had not heard anything and I followed up with FNB telephonically again the next day and was now told that I needed a business profile not a personal one. I have been trying to set a business profile up but can’t even open a business account without getting an error that “my application is declined due to risks to the bank”. I really don’t understand this and have still not been able to resolve this business account profile. I personally have a good credit profile and the business is solvent and up to date with its creditors. I have spoken to PayPal directly and they have asked me to send them documents to verify the account as it hasn’t been used for a while. This I only found out by calling PayPal and not from any FNB employee. FNB is the only intermediary between FNB and PayPal, why is it that they can’t give me the assistance to complete this process. It’s very frustrating and for FNB to be the only intermediary and holding the monopoly in SA leaves me nowhere else to go for answers or service. It’s very disappointing and till today this is not resolved.
