Payments not reflecting!
This is not the first time I'm complaining about FNB regarding this matter. The last time I complained, it somehow was sorted out. My cheque account and credit card is with FNB & on the 25th of every month, the debit order goes off from my cheque account for the payment due on my credit card. So the payment for November 2022 went off last week Friday but the payment is still not reflecting in my credit card. When I called them now, I spoke to a gentlemen (who sounded half asleep & wasn't really interested in assisting me - you can listen to my call as I won't expose him by naming him here) & he told me that payments can take up to 5 working days to reflect. How does that make sense if its fnb to fnb? It does not even take that long for payments/transfers from other banks to reflect. The last time I complained about this, it was 'sorted out' & my payments started reflecting the next business day. Fnb's service standards have been dropping lately!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Firstly she doesn't address the complaint I logged because the information she provided is things I know. She then has the audacity to tell me: " We do apologize for delays experienced on your side.". So this delay is my fault & not that of FNB.
To top it off, I received a call from the same guy I spoke to yesterday (mentioned in my initial complaint) this morning & once more all he does is provide excuses. The part of the explanation (or should I say excuse) that gets me worked up is that he says: Sometimes the payment reflects immediately and sometimes it takes up to 5 working days to reflect. When I ask about this, there is no valid explanation for this inconsistency.
I think I should take this to the banking ombudsman.
