Payment & Trying to make arrangement for a debit order
Good day
I have the same problem as last month.
I phoned FNB Customer care now, spoke to Nthabisen, just asking the estimate time for a Payment from Capitec to FNB. Payment was made on 5 April 2018.
On the 7th, knowing that a debit order for City of Cape Town is pending for the 7th, I paid money from Captic to assure that the debit order is successful. Money has not yet been cleared on FNB side, and when I ask if I can make arrangements to ensure that the debit goes through, by offering them a proof of payment, they just said no, cant help you as it is handled by the system. The same system that took money from my cheque account, via debit order, to my credit card on 30 April 2018 and the debit order only reflected yesterday 6 May 2018 and conveniently back dated to 2 May 2018.
This is really annoying.

Good Day,
I acknowledge receipt of your complaint and apologise for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
Payments made from another bank normally takes 2-3 days before it reflects in the account, this time frame can be extended if payments are made over a weekend. Please liaise with Capitec to establish what their cut off times.
It is advisable to make payments on time especially if debit orders are expected to be paid.
Your complaint had been routed to FNB Sales and Service Contact Centre who will be in contact with you.
