PAYING DUBBLE FOR REPLACEMENT CARDS
Good day
At the end of September 2020 I lost my card. I went to the Empangeni branch - stood in a queue in the sun for over an hour!
I app**** for a new and additional card - I received the one card at the branch - the consultant(very friendly) explained I can keep the card that I received as a secondary card and the one that will be delivered at the branch as my main card - i requested the card to be delivered to the branch in Piet Retief - because I'm not always in the office. Within the next few days I received a SMS that my card is ready for collection - being unable to take leave I only went to the Piet Retief Branch on 5 December 2020 - when I got to the consultant I started to explain the story of how my card got lost and how i received a new card AT THE EMPANGENI BRANCH THAT I WANT TO KEEP - he asked me for my ID and while I were still explaining he cancelled the card I received at the Empangeni branch! He just got up and took a new temporary card out form the back - when I asked him why he cancelled the card he told me because I told him the card were lost - BUT I HAD THE CARD IN MY HAND!!!! When I told him I'm not going to pay for another card he told me that if I want I card I will have to pay -IF HE LISTED TO WHAT I TRIED TO EXPLAINED TO HIM -he would have known that I only wanted to collect my "main" card - who he said were not there because I took more than three months to collect!!!!!!! - (1. NOT LONGER THAN 3 MONTHS 2. NOWHERE ON ANY OF THE SMS'S THEY SAID WITHIN THREE MONTHS) I asked him to call the manager - he did call - but with a real Sh@tty attitude - I explained the situation and at first she told me that I will have to pay for another set of cards - then she told me they can TRY to get the charges reversed - WELL NOW I PAID FOR 4 CARDS AND ONLY HAVE TWO - WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT IS NOT MY FAULT! So long story short - because one consultant didn't listen I have to pay double!!! I WANT THOSE CHARGES REVERSED! And I want to know what happened to the first card delivered to the Piet Retief branch?
