Pathetic systems and security measures

I am right now in a state of disbelief around the systems and security design at FNB and their intended purpose .. In short :

1. Your application on you cell is linked to your online profile, starts after your finger / biometrics or valid password is entered BUT is "Unverified" and key functionality (including links and buttons!) is missing until you pay R300 someone using the app, and then WAIT another 7 days !!

2. Above has to be done for EVERY and ALL devices with the application on !

3. Your browser on you laptop is linked to your online profile, starts after valid login is entered BUT is "Unverified" and key functionality (including links and buttons!) is missing until you pay R300 someone using the app, and then WAIT another 7 days !! You can see all your accounts with balances, BUT you cannot see your Net Worth !

4. Above has to be done for EVERY and ALL browser instances on all laptops !

5. They tell you for online banking support that you can pay any amount above 300. You daily pay limit is R20,000. You can forget about paying R20,000, R10,000, R1000 went through though.

Again - you do not do above, then you cannot use key and nice-to-have functions in browsers and on devices .. I find this pathetic, and can only think of linking a browser to a MAC address for whatever chinese-turkish security and intended de********ization. You are considered a ******** robot until you pay 300 - in the case of a cell, and 500 - in the case of a browser - this for each and every instance of device and browser

If they did not have the global forex account, for which i say Thank you, i'd be out of FNB in a heartbeat !

I am over 33 years in IT (Oracle and UNIX) and understand something about security.

Reviewer Update
I need in all fairness update with the following : I received a call from FNB re above, from a (colored) lady - name forgotten, who had an in-depth discussion with me re my issues - we probably spent 20+ min on the phone. I must say this : even if i'm not completely satisfied with her explanation, i can attest for an absolutely professional conduct, something long time gone from this country (with the exception of Investec of course!), in a strange way - a pleasure to talk to and debate with ! The name i remember and want to mention though is that of Sphamandla Zulu, from the Cresta branch, i'll easily rate his service 10/10 ! Guys like him need to be trained and promoted fast - i'm certain his integrity and vision will remain with him. I'm not going to raise stars right now, because the IT guys there are simply letting a feature out in the open, live / in production full of bugs with a wrong logic built in ! And i know this "from within" Over
