PATHETIC SERVICES WITH FNB!

Having the worst experience with FNB at the moment. Being treated like I am no one or don't deserve to have proper service. After banking with them for over 22 years. I have an overdraft account that has been paid in full. But I would like to close it. After 2 full weeks of calling FNB and having confirmation that the account would be closed today the account is still open. I called ********** 000 to speak to one of the bankers as I am a PREMIER member. But I was treated like dirt. The man transfered me with no hesitation as he is incapable of even trying to assist with the matter. I pray all records are replayed for this as no one should be working there with the type of customer service s**** they have. Which is absolutely disgusting. I was transferred atleast 4 more timesaving to explain my request which every time was just brushed off and passed to another department as no one is capable of actually assisting when it comes to some sort of challenge! Laziness would be an understatement to my experience of the "great team of bankers" after the 4th lady she then transferred me again and told me to take down the number which brought me full circle as it was the exact same number which I dialled that is available on the back of my card. I was brought to tears from anger trying to figure out why my account states that it can't be closed due to the R400 and odd change that was owed to it as Connack & Muller legally requested for me to settle the amount which I did immediately.FNBsent no letters of handing over or calls directly to Mr to notify me which goes again my rights as a consumer. But I did not complain and paid the account immediately so I wouldn't have a bad credit record.

Being passed back and forth from Connack & Muller to FNB and back again, I realised that FNB actually has no idea how to assist me at all. I have begged and pleaded for the past 45 minutes on the phone to have someone / manager / team leader to help. But to no avail. I'm still sitting here waiting for some sort of help. It was the most disappointing feeling like everyone I spoke to was doing me a favour instead of doing their jobs. A service which I actually pay for was not given to me by any of the people on the other side of that phone.

Still in this moment FNB has absolutely no answer for me and only now has a request to close the account been put through.

Service delivery from such a prestigious bank was pathetic
