PATHETIC SERVICE! NONSENSE SKYROCKET INCREASED DEBITS AND REPEATED DEBITS BY FNB ON MY ACCOUNT!
I have been with FNB for many years and I always used to think that FNB was an excellent bank - I had even, on so many occasions, told people (as well as my clients) to move to FNB, which all of these people did.... But as of the last 2 months, I NOW SEE FNB AS UTTERLY USELESS AND OUT TO **** PEOPLE FOR MONEY!
FNB IS NO DIFFERENT THAN A MONEY SHARK RIGHT NOW!
I have had a maxed out FNB Credit Card (straight facility only) for several years now. My MAXIMUM debit amount from FNB was R7320 per month for this Credit Card (if it was at it's MAXIMUM limit).
HOWEVER, NUMEROUS FNB Staff CAN'T explain (telephonically and at their Branch) why my debit for the FNB Credit Card was all of a sudden automatically increased to R11266.23 per month!
The ONLY feedback EVERY FNB Staff member gives me that "That debit amount is way too high!" YET NO SOLUTION is given to fix it! FNB Staff - EVERY TIME WITHOUT FAIL - REPEAT the same old OVER USED statement, "That's the way it is on the system, so we can't change it"!
That is almost a R4000 increase!
I spoke to FNB's staff (telephonically and at their Branch) countless times about this increased debit amount, and EACH of those FNB staff members advised me that ONLY AFTER my debit order of R11266.23 goes off my main FNB account, MUST I then split my FNB Credit Card into a Straight + Budget Facility to bring down the total monthly debit amount. The reason being "That's the way it is on the system, so we can't change it... until the debit amount has gone off"!
EACH of those FNB Staff ALSO told me that AT THE SAME TIME this amount is debited from my account, I MUST then change the debit date to the 27th of each month instead of the middle of the month.
FOLLOWING FNB STAFF'S OWN ADVICE I had the Credit Card split into Straight + Budget facility AFTER the R11266.23 was deducted automatically from my main FNB account (13 Feb 2018).
ALSO FOLLOWING FNB STAFF'S OWN ADVICE, I then moved the debit order date to the 27th.
THREE DAYS LATER (16 Feb 2018) my main FNB account was YET AGAIN debited for AN ADDITIONAL R2388.77 for the Credit Card!
Now a total of R14100 debited for this SAME FNB CREDIT CARD! (Now, almost DOUBLE what I had always been debited for on a maxed our FNB Credit Card)!!!!
I then phoned FNB to find out why they have further debited my account for the Credit Card. FNB Staff then said that BECAUSE I had changed the debit order date to the 27th, my account was deducted again (on the 16th! Not even the 27th as it was set to!). YET I WAS ADVISED TO CHANGE THE DEBIT DATE BY FNB STAFF??!!! By changing the debit date, I was told the money for the credit card would only go off the following month on the 27th! (NOT AGAIN THREE DAYS LATER!)
FNB Staff then informed me that YET AN ADDITIONAL R1660 is going to be deducted from my main FNB account on the 27th as well!
LEAVING A TOTAL OF THREE DEDUCTIONS FOR THIS SAME CREDIT CARD AND A DEDUCTION TOTAL AROUND R15760!
MORE THAN DOUBLE WHAT I AM USUALLY DEBITED FOR MY MAXED OUT CREDIT CARD!
When trying to reason and sort out this issue with FNB Staff, FNB STAFF EVEN ADMIT they are even confused!!!!! FNB STAFF EVEN ADMIT that it doesn't make sense!!! YET THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT??
FNB Staff even try reason with me further saying that the additional debit amount on the 16th was to be split between the straight and budget facility on the credit card... AND in addition, the payment being deducted from my account on the 27th is also going to be split between the straight and budget facility on the credit card!? How on earth does this make sense???
YET I HAD BEEN AUTOMATICALLY DEBITED FOR R11266.23 in total on the 13 Feb for the first debt order to cover the ENTIRE Credit Card (Despite it's almost R4000 unexplainable increase)!
FNB STAFF TOLD ME (BEFORE CHANGES WERE DONE TO MY CREDIT CARD) THAT FUTURE DEBITS WOULD ONLY TAKE PLACE FROM NEXT MONTH FOR THE CREDIT CARD ON THE 27TH! (NOT THE SAME MONTH!!)
FNB OUTRIGHT REFUSED to even consider this automatic debit payment SETUP BY FNB FOR R11266.23! FNB acts as if this amount was not even paid YET THEY CLEARLY ADMIT TO SEEING IT ON THEIR SYSTEM! FNB TURNS A COMPLETE BLIND EYE TO THIS INSANE ORIGINAL DEBIT AMOUNT!
And the more I try reason with FNB Staff, the more I yet again, get the same TIRING REPEATED statement: "That's the way it is on the system so we can't change it"! FNB Staff are starting to sound like robots stuck on repeat with this statement!
SO MUCH FOR HELP FROM FNB TO REDUCE DEBIT ORDERS!?!?
AND I HAD FOLLOWED EXACTLY WHAT FNB STAFF INSTRUCTED ME TO DO ONLY TO BE DEBITED EVEN MORE instead of sorting out the Credit Card to have a reduced monthly payment!!
UTTERLY USELESS AND NO CONCERN FROM FNB TO EVEN SORT THIS OUT!
ALL FNB SEEMS TO BE CONCERNED WITH IS COLLECTING YOUR MONEY NO MATTER HOW OUTRAGEOUS THEIR OWN DEBIT ORDERS INCREASE TO, NOR HOW MANY TIMES THEY DECIDE THEY WANT TO DEDUCT IT FROM YOUR ACCOUNT!
FNB LEAVES YOU COMPLETELY HELPLESS AND WITH ABSOLUTELY NO CONTROL OVER YOUR OWN MONEY - EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE PAID THEIR RIDICULOUS INCREASES!
FNB SEEMS NO DIFFERENT TO ME THAN A MONEY SHARK RIGHT NOW!
After countless years of being with FNB and advising countless clients and people to move over to FNB (which they did), I now want to move to another Bank and notify all those same people to move as well!
