Pathetic service. No stars

<p>On sa****ay the 21st may I went to fnb tokai to deposit funds that was needed urgently to a third party. When walking to the tellers I was stopped by 3 staff members who insisted I deposit at the ATM as the service would be quicker. The lady asissted me and her manager was standing next to her. She did the deposit for me and the funds got stuck. I worked in a bank so I know the procedure when funds get deposited but the service at fnb was pathetic. No one knew what to do when the deposit failed. They didn't know what to say. The manager first told me I couldn't get my funds back that I had to go to enquiries. I completed forms but I could not get a copy as it was for internal use and I received no reference number. What proof do I have that my deposit of R8000 failed. I was told I was going to get a receipt and I never received one. The manager and staff that adsisted me avoided me. Not one person apologised for the inconvience. They did not know how to handle the situation at all. Those funds were urgently needed on sa****ay and I was advised not to redeposit the funds or I will not get the R8000 back that was retained at the ATM. Its 11 monday and I am still awaiting my feedback call or funds to be deposited. </p> <p>Pathetic customer interaction and bring service down at fnb. I will not recommend fnb to friends and family. Ask other banks about their systems. They at least give reference numbers. </p>
