Pathetic service from FNB HOMELOANS

I have been an FNB client for many years and currently have an existing Homeloan with FNB. My profile is managed extremely well and the service I received in the past was generally good. In June 2017 have started my homeloan applications with all big 5 financial service companies. I then received quotes on my application, I was shocked and disappointed with the quote which I got back from FNB, knowing that ABSA and Standard bank was able to give me better deals even though I wasn’t a Client of theirs.

Being very disappointed I then spoke to the home loan consultant requesting they go back and review my quote which they were not able to do and requested proof of the quotes I received from the other banks. After some time they got back saying all they can do is match the quote which I got from ABSA. Its shows how FNB clients are treated.

I forced myself to go with the FNB deal due to being a loyal FNB Client and wanting all my accounts at one bank. I signed and sent through and all the documents on the 22 JUNE 2017. There was no communication to speak of. I had to do everything myself. Including following up with the attorneys and FNB homeloans.

I was messed around multiple times with regards to the life cover, I currently hold a life cover for the purpose of my homeloan no.1 and now I have to take out an additional cover and incurring more cost where the other banks don’t need life cover. Disappointed AGAIN. I then submitted the new life cover docs and waited for response, after weeks my attorneys got feedback stating my life cover is not in order and that I need joint life cover. It was back and forth with regards to life cover which really disgusted me with the service from FNB AGAIN. My application has been running from 22 June 2017 and it continues to run with no feedback or updates. This is causing me major inconvenience and stress with regards to the legal aspect of the home purchase. This application is a mess.

I've spent my time and money having to follow up and chase my application. The service delivery was shocking. I wish I had gone with another financial service company. If that is how FNB treats clients then maybe it is time to move to another bank. There are many financial service companies out there which are willing to take on new clients and provide them with excellent customer service with cheaper rates and pricing. I am very upset about the lack of communication and very poor service. I now post this to see if I will get any feedback from FNB, as I have already complaint but it also does not seem that they take this matter serious. FNB, this leaves me with a bitter taste in the mouth.
