PATHETIC SERVICE from FNB

I get paid on the 29th of the month and I keep my cheque account to a minimum(no interest). I bought stuff, swiped my card(22nd & 26th Sept and I got the sms showing my bank balance(all works well).

Here’s my problem… My insurance debit order went off on the 27th(technical issues on their side, normally the 1st). FNB honoured the payment and my bank balance went into a negative balance which FNB then charged me R100.

The insurance company agreed to refund that R100(fault on their side), they need proof that I had no funds available when the debit order went through. Their belief is that R100 fee is for a "bounced Debit order"

Online banking shows differently, the insurance debit order went through on the 26th and my purchase made on the 22nd went through after that putting my account in a negative state.

I contacted the contact centre (I spent more than 2 hours in total over 3 days.)

Spoke to Cheslin, Ashlin, Kabitso, Floyd(I asked to speak to Cheslin as I dealt with him the first time and he would have knowloedge of what was happening regarding this issue). Left several messages for him to call me back after he mailed me the bogus statement(RX ********** 2121) – NO RETURNS OF CALLS. Cheslin agreed that on his system he saw my transaction as I got the smses, however the statement he sent shows differently(Listen to the recordings). I was then charged R39 for this bogus statement, and a further R50 for not having funds for that R39???? If i watned this bogus statement i could have downloaded it from online banking???

Ive been with FNB for 28 years(From Bob T Account days in the 80s)! I’m wondering if its TIME TO CHANGE?

R289 in total for bank charges on a cheque account(including my account fee)?
