Pathetic Service! 000

I was preapproved for a Premier Credit Card with a limit of R53 800. I decided to take up the offer but reduced the limit to R20 000 instead. A customized quotation was sent to me by Zinhle Pitsane which I accepted and signed on 12 May 2017. The quote reflected the requested amount of R20 000 with an interest rate of 20% per annum. I submitted all relevant documentation to ********** and then needed to accept the contract via the iContract feature on the FNB site. I received the same email for 3 consecutive days thereafter. I then received another email to inform me that the documents I submitted were missing pages. I then followed up with the call centre who advised that the Validation Department had not linked my January payslip and that they have now done so and that all was in order. This morning I checked my online banking profile to find that the credit card had been removed from my accounts. I called to follow up again and was informed that I have now been rescored and a sales consultant will be in touch to discuss. I immediately called the Fast App call centre and was assisted by Presence who let me know that the the application needed to be reprocessed. Much to my disgust, I am now offered a Gold Credit Card with a limit of R24 000 with an interest rate of 21%. The account is showing on my transunion credit report as opened and then closed which has now affected my credit score. Surely this is in contravention of the National Credit Act and if FNB does not sort this out I will be taking it up with the Credit Ombudsman. I have also attempted to contact the call centre since to speak to someone senior and have just had the phone put down on my ear and advised that no managers are on duty which I find strange for a company the size of FNB. Have to say FNB's service lately is shocking and I am not the only FNB customer with the same sentiments. Maybe a case of too big too soon. Not sure how FNB's slogan "How can we help you" has helped me at all.

Reviewer Update

I dont even know what to say anymore. I am literally on the verge of tears. The Gold Credit Card has also been cancelled without my permission and I have now been offered R30 000 (interest rate unconfirmed) with the whole process and application having to start all over again. 3 credit cards in a matter of a week and a half. I told the Call Centre agent yesterday that I was happy to go ahead with the Gold card and that my complaint was to voice my frustrations with regards to how the entire process has been handled so far. I also received a message from the Mr Delivery that the card was on the way despite receiving a call 20 minutes later to advise that the account has been closed. I really do hope I dont end up with 2 cards... Besides that both credit cards are showing on my TransUnion Credit Report. The one as opened and closed and the second one is now open!!!! And there will most likely be a third which is affecting my credit score in a BIG way!!!!!!!!!! How can this even be fair in terms of the NCA?????
