Pathetic Policies

No problem with the consultant from the call centre who seemed professional enough. My gripe is with FNB policies. Debit order goes off on my personal cheque account amidst more pressing concerns of load shedding. There was a shortfall of R80.00 in the account to meet the amount debited. As soon as I received the SMS notification the transcaction had taken place I checked the account and immediately transferred the shortfall from my other FNB account. There was no further indication that any problem existed with the transaction. Come Monday morning FNB decides to reverse the Debit as unpaid due to insufficient funds in the account and further penalise me R100 for the failed debit, Conveniently the amount I transferred to make up the balance only reflected Monday morning. Ironic when inter account transfers usually reflect immediately. Years of banking with FNB and they seem to be losing sight of “how can we help you”.
