Pathetic ********** Bank with **** UNCLEAR Explanations on Money
This new and advanced ***** Technique FNB applies on cheque accounts is ridiculous, un-understandable and to be frank too much.
For instance if you have money in your account (R3000), buy or spend somewhere using your card to swipe (R200) and get a notification: R200 reserved for what what and the sms confirms your balance of R2800...
And you continue spending another R700 where again you get the same notification sms you have R1100 .
Make withdrawals off the R1100 say for R800 and now have R300 balance...
A few days later to almost a week, your account is overdrawn, .. HOW ???
I believe the transactions/card swipes you were doing which by the way you were constantly getting notifications of how much you still have to spend are already deducted off your account and hence you have these balances for you to spend but suddenly they are an excuse for the overdrawn account, hay they were pending etc, some wicky washy unclear explanation... Isn't the balance I get on my atm, which is confirmed by the sms notification FOR ME TO SPEND since the money I swiped is ALREADY OFF ????
Does that then mean these notification are a lie and not a true reflection of how much I still have left for my use anyhow I want to ? Also these sms'es vs the actual balance on my ATM screen were the same (meaning money has already been taken off my account).
To suddenly have the card swipe expenditure I did goin off my balance of a week later, I see and view it as a double deduction... HOW? Because when I had R2000 and swiped R700 it did show me i have R1300... why when I have spend from the R1300 till R400 do I have another R700 going against it... and yet I believe it was gone anyway..
Please unpack this unclear nonsense... I still see it as *****. And the so called it was pending excuse makes no sense. You should take it off my own balance on 1st swipe, keep it your own account ready for clearance. Whatever you notify me as available I take it as it is for me to use with no SURPRISE money tat will go off... Unless you are in cahoots with these places we swop our card at.
