Pathetic banking, not Premier banking

Pathetic! I phoned to find out how to stop a debit order and was told that I had to pay R17.50 to have it stopped on the phone. No alternative is made available on my online banking – I am only able to stop debit orders of R200 or less online.

They are very keen for you to do all kind of big amount transactions online, no questions asked (e.g. increase your credit card limit, get a personal loan), but when it comes to self service of debit orders then there is no way in hell.

The consultant, Andrew, was not able to give me an explanation of why it is limited to amounts of R200 or less. I honestly don’t know why I am making use of Premier banking, because it has become nothing more than a substandard call centre with agents’ knowledge being questionable.

I signed up for a Platinum Account because of the convenience of the "premier bankers" aka call centre and have now been dissappointed one time too many.
