Parcel not received due to lack of training/communication from service providers

I ordered a smartphone from FNB last week Monday and it was going to be delivered on Friday last week. But before the delivery, I gave the corrier company RAM a call to ask what documentation would they require in order for me to get my parcel? The lady I spoke to said a copy of the ID is fine, because I had lost my Identity Document. I gave the same company a call on Thursday for final confirmation, and another lady said the copy of my ID would do just fine. Come delivery day, the 01st of June 2018, I went to the meeting point and the corrier guys came and then asked for the original ID. I was a bit surprised because the customer service line for the same company told me that it is fine to bring just a copy of my ID. I even brought my driver's licence for confirmation. I then called again RAMs office and one lady told me that they do require an original ID and copy. I ended up not receiving my phone. I was frustrated and furious to take leave at work for nothing because of the lack of knowledge from the people who deliver goods for the people, and also FNB should have done something because I did call them and told me that they don't know what I should bring with me upon receiving the parcel. Today, I gave FNB customer services a call and I spoke to a humble lady and told her the whole story. She then said that I should cancel the order for now and order again once I have an ID. She then said it is okay if I bring the Driver's Licence and a copy of it. She promised to liaise with RAM and get back to me that was over 2 hours ago, I haven't heard from her nor RAM. This is very bad customer service on both FNB and RAM. It is very disappointing to find myself in this situation as a loyal customer from FNB.
