Painful experience in trying to open FNB account

Being a FNB client myself , I thought it would be a good idea to open my daughters first bank account with the same bank. Worst experience ever.... They would not except her UNISA letter with the address on it, I was told to go to Edgars and get a print out of my statement so I went to Edgars and got a print out of my statement, will not except it...even though Edgars is next door...., it needed to be stamped by Edgars even though Edgars clearly printed on the statement. why couldn't fnb generate a statement for me for my address...(I freeken bank with you)...what's the difference if Edgars generates it or you do??? ( I have my ID and my account is RICA)...<br> this matter could have been handled much more professionally....<br> Anyway ,went directly to Standard Bank...closest I could find , they were polite excepted the proof of address, all sorted. My daughter is now with standard bank ...painless.<br> Suppose that's why Steve banks with beat bank....too complicated to open an FNB account.
