Paid up letters and a refund takes a month...
I came to know that an account of mine that was paid off was in fact in credit. Only when I requested for a paid up letter, was i told that I was due a refund. Aside from it taking a week just to get a paid up letter, it seems to take another week for the refund. You can never get hold of anyone, and you are forced to make use of this silly AI virtual chat nonsense, and there is never the correct person in the correct department, referring you to another department, leaving you to repeat your story, over and over.
FNB used to be great, quick and easy... definitely not the case any longer. And based on this, I am actually considering moving to another bank.

No wonder your letters and refunds take so long.. just another excuse to not attend anything urgently.
Thanks, but no thanks.

Absolutely pathetic. Ironically enough, if i didnt query for the paid up letter, no one from your institution would have even bothered to pick up the phone to let me know that you actually owe me money.
I could not be bothered about the phone call... truly.. just process the refund so I can take my business elsewhere. If this is what we are paying bank charges for... i would rather opt to pay someone else.

16 May 2024, 09:332 more days.. and still nothing.... it is really shocking to see the sub par standard manner in which you attend to queries. No phone call.. only a stupid, computer generated email received from someone purely stating some procedure. Please keep in mind that this query has been going on since the start of the paid up letter dating back to Mid April....... how is that standard procedure.... when it's a month?
