PAID UP LETTER AND UPDATE ALL RELEVANT CREDIT BUREAUS PLEASE

I entered into settlement in respect of my FNB loan and as arranged the settlement amount of R 15 750.00 was to be done in two payments.

FNB debited my account for the amount of R 7 875 in respect of the first installment on 27 July 2019.

I have made payment on Wednesday, 14 August 2019 in respect of the final installment for the amount of R 7 875 and in this regard have send through the proof of payment to FNB loan department, to two other consultants at FNB with no acknowledgement to date

My debt obligation towards FNB in respect of this loan account has now been discharged. I would appreciate if FNB could urgently arrange for a paid up letter and update the relevant credit bureaus (Tranunion, Experian, XDS and Compuscan) and close the account accordingly.

Your assistance would be highly appreciated.

Reviewer Update
Good day

I have now been advised that the account I can only be issued with a paid up letter after 45 days and the credit bureau details updated after 45 days. This is ridiculous. The settlement amount clearly reflects in FNB's account. This is detrimental to my credit profile for this long. What is the rationale behind this 45 day period? I am referring this further to the credit ombudsman
