Paid Up Letter

I settled my personal loan 5 days ago. To date I'm being told that they can't provide me with a paid up letter. What is so difficult about writing a simple letter stating that I no longer owe them??

Talk about companies that put bureaucracy before their customers.

What confuses me is that on Tuesday I was called and PROMISED that the letter will be in my inbox on Wednesday morning. Today is Thursday, still no letter.

I phoned the call centre again and a guy called Luntu told me that he can't help, I just have to wait. Asked to talk to a supervisor, and I was kept holding forever.

Can you please just send that letter. I am not asking for much; just a simple letter???
