Paid-up letter

I lost my job last year and I was unemployed for almost a year and as such defaulted on my payments. For the better part of last year FNB called me constantly (at least twice a day most days) issuing all sorts of legal threats. As soon as I got employement I then made arrangements to start paying off what I owe them. Now that I have settled my revolving loan, it has become a mission for FNB to issue me with a paid up letter.

On the 21st January 2016 I settled my revolving loan. I then went to FNB at Chilli Lane, Sunninghill and I was informed that the branch does not issue a paid up letter for revolving loans they merely call the department that deals with revolving loans and request for a paid up letter. Because it was a Saturday and the relevant department operates week days, they then gave me a number that I may try and call and request for the letter (advising me that the department might not accept my request as they only accept requests made by the bank). I called the number and was dvised that they do not accept request from bank customers but rather from the bank and as such I must call the branch where the revolving loan was innitiated (in this case PMB branch). I did, and was told I need to go inside any FNB branch and they should be able to assit.

Today I went to dotFNB in Hydepark and was assisted by Siphelele, who not only spent almost an hour being transferred to atleast 5 (five) different departments / requested to call 5 (five) different departments i. e ********** , ********** , ********** , ********** , ********** with not much luck and or advice in terms of who exactly should be issuing me the paid up letter. instead I was informed that an intrest of R125.04 was addedd to the account on the 26th January 2017 , 5 days after I settled the account (at the time the intrest was added the balance on this account was R0.00) not only that, I was also informed that further interest has been added to said interest of R125.04 and now the total intrest is R125.53 and that it will continue to grow until I pay an interest I was charged on a balance of R0.00

When I wasn't able to make payments FNB was able to call and send me threatening emails promising all kinds of legal actions that they can and will take against me (on a daily basis) not to mention listing me on itc making it a mission for me to even get a place to rent, without any hustle and or a need for me to go to a branch or call a bunch of numbers. Now that I am paying off the money I owe them it has to be a battle for FNB to do what they did when I owed them money i.e go into my account (without me having to go to a branch and or making endless calls from one FNB department to the next) and confirm I've paid and email me a paid up letter to the same email address they used to send threatening emails and then go inform itc that I have paid (just like they did when I wasn't able to pay). Instead I'm being charged intrest on an account that has a balance of R0.00
