Paid up and closed credit card re appears with balance after years
I was using FNB a few years back, I think 2017 or 2018 and I had a credit card with them. I paid up the credit card and closed the account. But 2 months back I saw the account appearing under my clear score as active as a result when I app**** for a credit card at African bank they mentioned that I owed FNB R14977.
I am so disappointed and frustrated at the same time as I did not expect this with everything that’s happening in this country’s economy. Can someone please rectify this as I paid the credit card a long time ago I have tried several times to call them today but their machine is answering the call and not giving me any direction

17 Apr 2023, 11:13I have received a response from FNB however I am still not happy with it as the person handling my case sent me an email stating that this account was closed from FNB.
This response does not take away the fact that this credit card has recently appeared under my credit score and it is inconveniencing me when I want to apply for credit
I have asked the person to at least send me a letter stating that I have no credit card with FNB and I still haven’t received it.
