Paid My Money To *****sters Even Through I Told Them I Did Not Approve The Payment

So over the weekend of January 9th -11, I noticed that an amount of R3200 had gone off my account that I wasn't aware of. However, it was still pending. So I rushed to the bank to have them stop the payment, because I had not gone through yet.

The Consultant told me it it was a card payment, but I had drawn money the Friday and had not used my card the whole weekend. So that wasn't possible.

But I followed their instructions and proceeded to cancel my card, get a new one and open a ***** case. They told me I could check in whenever I was around but it took anywhere from 7 to 30 days.

About two week went by and I went to my nearest branch to follow up, they told me nothing had been done yet. As in my case had not even been looked into at all. A whole 2 weeks later... So by this time they had made the payment or allowed it to go through, even though I had specifically told them and even opened a ***** case because I did not know to whom or why this payment was being made. Should they not have, in the least, frozen this transaction until they had finished the investigation?

Then they said they would escalate the matter and get it resolved ASAP. One week later I got a call from the bank, at first the lady asked me if the money had not been paid back into my account and I said no. So she said they had send me an email.

I never received an email, so I went to the bank on my next off day.

While on the phone with te ***** department they asked me about an email again, I again told them I had not received anything. So then I explain or atleast tried to explain why it was they were not going to refund my money. It did not make sense to me. So they printed this generic sounding letter which I again asked one of the consultants to explain to me, and they could neither understand or make it make sense to me.

Apparently, according to FNB's ***** Department, the only way this payment could have been approved was through OTP (which they afterwards said could also be a approved via the FNB App) which kind made sense because that's how I usually approved payments, because I have not received any OTPs or SMS notifications for atleast 2 years.

But the only problem is I still did not approve this transaction, but because they concluded I must have approved it because it's the way it could have happened. It had to be that way.

Was armed *******, drugging, ****ming even considered?

Even if you as their client go and tell them you did not approve this, they would still pay it and them just give you reasons why the will not refund you. And the 30 days investigation actually only starts after two weeks or more and who know if they even do a proper investigation or just try to find reason why they can't help you.

If your own bank can't or won't even protected your money (which you trust them to do) or atleast make an effort to help you, why should you pay them all these fees? Because now an added fee is the new card which they told me I could dispute or get refunded after the conclusion of the case. Why did I even get a new card if this was was done via the app and had nothing to do with the card. See how they just milk you dry, but they can't even protect the money they want you to pay them with
