Paid item-No Funds
I am writing this review to address an ongoing issue related to unpaid items on my account, which has resulted in a negative balance and subsequent fees being charged. I kindly request your assistance in reversing the fee and resolving this matter.
Over the past few months, there have been instances where certain transactions on my account were not paid due to insufficient funds. As a result, a fee was levied for each unpaid item, which has had a negative impact on my account statement. I understand the importance of maintaining a positive balance, and I cannot apologize for a bank-related error or issue.
I made contact with banker Mohlatso who had a look at my issue wrt paid item no funds available. The chat was ended without any resolution.I then made contact with another banker called Nonhlanhla and explained my sistuation. She has assured me that this will be escalated and attended to as soon as possible with a reference number : R***.
My initial issue was that i purchased and item on the 19th of June 2023 for R359.I had the available funds in my account and it was deducted. On the 23rd of June i was charged again for R359 yet there was no funds available. On top of that i was charged R200 for item paid no funds available.Meaning i had a negative nalance in my account of -R559.Round about 4pm yesterday i received a notification that R359 was reversed back into my account however not credited.I then chatted to another Banker called Mmabatho who informed me that the system was down and he cannot look into it and i should make contact with one of the Bankers today of which i did.
I was sent from pillar to post spoke to different bankers Shereen who did not even say anything just transfered me to Collections CCB and PCB.Then i chatted to Lauren @Checque Account arrears management who told me my request is not part of her expertise and she will route me to the relevant department.FNB "How Can We Help You" right? She then transferred me to Digital Banking Support where i then schatted to a Emily who also just re-routed my chat to Tshepiso @ GOLD Main.Tshepiso loooked at my chat History and to my surprise i was told that a previous purchase on the 19th of June of R3600 (That amount was actually available in my account) was too little as there only were R3495,13 available and that took me to a negative.
I would like to emphasize that this issue has become recurring, the balance that is avaialable is actually not the same as what is on my end.How is that my fault and why should i be penalised for a bank that does not provide accurate balance? We have been down this road before and you have resolved this issue and now it has appeared again.
I value my relationship with FNB and have been a loyal customer for several years. I have always made efforts to ensure that my account remains in good standing. I kindly ask that you review my account history and consider reversing the fees related to the unpaid items. Your understanding and cooperation in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
If there are any additional steps or requirements on my part to facilitate the reversal of the fees, please let me know, and I will promptly provide the necessary information.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a positive resolution and appreciate your ongoing support.
