overpaid my settlement loan and they stil did a debit order instead of refunding me

Good day

I took a personal loan (Acc: ********** 4189) with Fnb on the 22 April 2016 and was supposed to end the loan on the 24 June 2018. Our agreement was that they must deduct money from my account on my payday which was the 27th.

I decided to settle my account, the payment was done on the 14-09-2017.

I realised on the 20th of the same month that I did an overpayment. That's when I started making calls to Fnb that's when I communicated to Lebo Mokhethi. she then advice me to send her an email with the proof of payment as my payment doesn't reflect on the system. On the 19th of September at 08:10 I send Lebo an email with the proof of payment and the banking details of where they should make payment to.

Since this communication I haven't received any feedback from Lebo. On the 20th of September I called FNB again about this matter and was assisted by some lady I didn't take her details. the lady put me on hold as she could not see what is going on with account. Then I asked her to talk to Lebo as i started this case with Then Lebo communicated with her. That's when I was told that infact I did an underpayment . I could not understand the underpayment issue, she tried to explain it 3 times and still could not understand.

This morning i receive an SMS that the amount of R781.42 has been deducted from my account in regards to a loan payment. that's when i had to call them again. An calling thm was in regard of a breach of contract because there is no where that says money should be deducted from my account before my pay day. some customer assistant transferred me to a claims department or something like that. I was placed on hold for about 30 min, with no answer.

Then i left my work to drive out to the Fnb close to my workplace. when i got the still they asked if i can call the personal loan debtors department. then i was again transferred to the same number that i had to wait for +- 30 and their calls took 26.48 minutes that's when i suggested to see the manager of that branch only to find out he/she wasn't there it was only the admin people. then i was asked to call them again waited 30 minutes again my call wasn't answered.

Then there was a guy who i explained my situation. he took the matter further and that is when i also noticed that indeed was supposed to pay FNB 5345.57 instead of 5992.82 which i didn't have a problem with i was going to solve it later on.

My problem was the debit order that they took before i could get paid. The money that was in my account was saved specifically for today. they requested that I should refund to my account but they could not assist me. instead they say i should wait for Tuesday if not Wednesday to get the response form them.

Ever since i raised this matter with FNB no one has ever ever tried to keep communicating with me instead i have been the one doing the follow ups every single day an now im drained that's the reason why i had to call you guy .

I want them to pay me back for the money that they have kept from me for so long I should have paid some of my accounts with them and settled them. they must pay that money with interest as much as when we borrow money form them we return it with interest. now I borrowed money from loan sharks and all so I can pay for my brothers medication. I give them only 12 hours to fix this issue if they don't then ll have to take a step futher.
