Overdrawn account

Sadly I find myself in a situation that so many people do today. Unemployed and penniless..

So with a measly overdraft of only R500 for those rainy days & a maxed out credit card, knowing I don't have enough to cover my debit orders this month, I phone to make payment arrangements with every company I have accounts with that has set debit orders to go off my FNB account (cellphone, valuables & life insurance). They all tell me the same thing. \Phone back once the debit order has returned, then only can we make payment arrangement.\"
So I wait.. to my surprise one by one I receive an sms of debit orders going through. Now, my account is overdrawn by R5,500!! FNB keep sending messages that it is overdrawn & I need to make a deposit immediately but when I phone the 087 number provided I get cut off. Each time.

What is the use of making payment arrangements if your stupid bank still allow the monies to go off your account?? Since when does any bank allow debit orders to go off an account that has insufficient funds?? This is absolutely ridiculous. I would have had time to pay my accounts off once my life was sorted. Where does FNB expect me to get money from to deposit to my account?"
