Overdraft Paid Up letter

After selecting the general inquiries option with FNB, I asked the consultant on the telephone, that I would like to request a "Paid up letter" as I don’t owe anything on my overdraft. I was asked to hold on and that I will be transferred to the Overdraft Facilities department (wasn’t given that option from the menu) after holding on for more than 5 minutes. I decided to call again and spoke to another consultant, only to be told that they cannot send me a letter (via email) I must go into the branch to get one. What does “these calls are reordered for ....." mean if people don't know what they are doing? I wasted all my airtime.
