OUTRAGEOUS debit order fees during a global pandemic.

FNB has been incredibly disappointing during the lockdown. When the pandemic hit South Africa, I, like many, saw a 75% cut on salary. Clients had to cut down and some payments were delayed. This obviously affects debit orders. FNB has taken this time to MILK the opportunity to make money collecting unnecessary fees. Charging R8,50 for every debit order and then a further R60, R90 or R110 is disgraceful. Instead of showing compassion during a difficult time, they leave a bitter taste in my mouth and many others. People have so little money as it is, and FNB takes the last bit that there is. To say that I am disgusted is an understatement. If you are in financial difficulty I do NOT recommend FNB. They will leave you in a worse place. DO BETTER, FNB.

Good day,

Someone from FNB has been in contact with a generic email. The reality is that this 'issue' would never be solved, it's 'my' problem, and I am sure many others. FNB has no compassion and there's nothing we can do about it, except look elsewhere for someone with lower charges. If FNB didn't charge such high penalty fees, my accounts wouldn't be behind.

Thanks for the expected generic response though :)
