Original PIN required for credit card?

I was in the middle of an online transaction that was not working (the mygate page would not let me enter my OTP) so I called the number on the back of my credit card as instructed. I get asked to enter my ID, the last few digits of my card number and my PIN, but it also gives me a strange message that I only have one attempt left to enter my PIN. But I enter my PIN, which I know is correct, then get told my card has been blocked. I get put through to the call centre who inform me that I actually needed to enter the ORIGINAL PIN that was issued with my card 4 years ago and not the PIN that I use for transactions! SERIOUSLY, I KID YOU NOT!!! Who ever keeps that original PIN? So now I sit with an incomplete transaction and a blocked card. Thanks FNB. Now I'd like to know how you can help me complete my transaction without having to join the queues in your branches?
