Opening a youth account at FNB next to impossible

I decided to show my son how to save by going to FNB Craddlestone (Krugersdorp) at the start of the new year the 2nd January to be specific. The teller staff couldn't assist with my original ID, my wife's original ID, proof of address and a department of home affairs certified birth certificate. After being turned away I requested to speak to a team leader (Rocky) who advised they would escalate and come back to me. 3 weeks no feedback I opened an account on line with FNB (Because I have 5 accounts with them already). They deliver the card however freeze the card because they do not have certain documents (which has never been communicated to me the client). Documents they don't have, my ID (although they have 4 personal and 1 business account for me), proof of address although the 7 year old lives with me and I have 5 accounts with them and a declaration they require me to complete without ever having been notified although I acknowledged all declarations on line. And last but not least the birth certificate which I had scanned in on their portal at time of application. When delivering the card they only request ID and proof of address which I have now supp**** yet again but it's still missing. The opening of a youth account has only taught my child that FNB systems and staff do not work rather than a good banking experience. Very disappointed.

PLEASE READ FNB "RESOLUTION"process. So the solution provided by FNB was that I resupply all the documents I have either already on 5 occasions supp**** before (1. my personal, 2. business account, 3. provided at branch on 2nd January, 4. Provided during online application, 5. Provided to the delivery company who wouldn't release the card without the required documents). So on the 6th occasion of providing the documentation I get an email saying the account is open. Great HOWEVER The cards are not linked and as a child they may not use internet banking which makes the account useless. After replying and contacting all parties (3 of them ) involved in resolving the complaint the best assistance"I get is to call the call centre. Oh PS> I am a Private Wealth client have not heard from my personal banking since mid last year when they couldn't help me on another matter.

I've called and left messages for Naomi who choose to live the FNB motto "How can we ignore you?". It has been one month now since I walked into the branch with all my documents and still no resolution. Naomi who typed the standard we'll look into it response I don't know if she even exists as I have never heard from her and she's not available when I call and she does not return messages. So next steps as it is my decision how I allow banks to treat me, close all 6 private accounts, business account, investment account and FNB can shove the youth account and move banks. POORLY HANDLED

A lady from FNB, Wasilla, chose to assist me after I again initiated contact. Within 10 minutes my issue was resolved. I'm left wondering why none of the other people in FNB didn't try and assist or even bother to reply to messages. I'd love to give Wasilla 5 stars but unfortunately FNB handling of my query which became a complaint does not deserve the complaint changed to a compliment.
