Opening a minors account with FNB is impossible

As every parent has to teach their children of banking, I found FNB (Y account division) to be pathetic. It has now been 4 months and my childs (minor 10a old) account is still not activated. I received the card and transferred his hard earned money into the account, yet his account is still not open. I have sent 3 e-mails to FNB asking them to please resolve this issue. The response is a typical response out of a text book with no 'mind power' app**** to the answer - "Your FICA documentation upload was received and in the process of being verified". The same response for 4 months now.

My childs bank account is linked to mine and FNB (that I have been banking with for over 30 years) has all of my details of my cheque, credit, petro and even my home loan. However in 4 months they cannot validate a 10a old childs FICA documentation. How can a 10a olds bank account be such a threat to national security if its linked to my account. However this is what happens when you deal with a bank that forgets that we are human beings and not just numbers on a spreadsheet. When they are trying to sell me another service they promise me the world. When I try open a savings account its a threat to our countries security. I hope they will one day have qualified customer service that will resolve this issue before they loose me as a customer.

My reference number from FNB is CRM: ********** ********** 2 ( ********** 8_ ********** 43/ ********** 2_ ********** 84/REF: ********** 6_ ********** 06)

Thank you Hello Peter for you assistance But I fear that the FNB reply is similar to the e-mails I received from them. I think they have a standard template that they send out by a clerk that does not understand customer service. Lets see if they prove me wrong and actually resolve it from FNB's side.
