Once again how can we not help you
We had our home loan with FNB for 7 years now, paying about 30% odd more than the monthly instalment. When we decided to upgrade for another house, all the banks were contacted. FNB gave us the highest interest rate out of all the banks and not just by a little. It seems they only care about new customers and nit about loyal paying customers. When commenting on one of the posts of FNB about the issue, I received a generic lame emoji response that basically tells me that I should have complained and that I should contact them if I wanted assistance. Pathetic customer service to say the least. Why could the other banks get it right on the first offer? Why should I first complain before getting the best rate possible for them when they could have done that off the bat? Why should I contact them after they saw my complaint? Why should I be the first to reach out in a DM after a already reached out via a comment? They WILL try to take advantage of you. It’s the equivalent of offering someone a loaf of bread for R400 and then be sad if the wanted to go elsewhere and then blaming them for not complaining about the offer when someone else gave them the loaf for R10. Three times have I commented about this issue and only once I was told to contact them if I have an issue, the other two times I was ignored. For anyone reading this, PLEASE don’t go FNB for your home loan. You will regret it. Nobody takes you seriously anyways when you complain.
Please note it is too late to resolve this.
I posted this on HelloPeter to warn other users so that they can see how you operate.
You can delete your formal complaint as I will repeat what I said here and that will be it.
I already signed up with Nedbank which gave exponentially better service and rates.
