On the fnb roundabout

· I have been a client of FNB (and its former names) for more than forty years

· I had a Premier account but was told that I had to use the banking app in order to earn eBucks.

· I do not have a smart phone, so I downgraded to an Encore Gold account.

· This process took three visits to my branch, with long waits on each occasion.

· The day I received my gold credit card, I read that the app requirement had been waived for over sixties, so this effort was wasted.

· With my Encore Gold account I should be able to make 4 cash withdrawals per month from an ATM without being charged a fee.

· The first cash withdrawal I made from the account I was charged R18.50.

· I had been told that as an Encore (senior) client, I had access to Premier support, so I submitted a complaint to Premier support.

· Premier referred me to the call centre.

· The call centre referred me to my local branch.

· The local branch referred me to Premier support.

· The charge was reversed.

· I made another cash withdrawal and was once more charged R18.50

· I submitted a complaint to Premier

· Premier referred me to the call centre

· The call centre referred me to my local branch, and that is where things have been for the last week or so
