Not willing to refund monies
Payment was made to City of Johannesburg for my rates account from my FNB bank account into COJ's account at Standard Bank. After trying to make payment using the usual normal methods , the payment was not accepting. I then contacted online banking telephonically for assistance on the procedure. I was guided by a consultant on the procedure whilst on the phone.

When i contacted my bankers via email , the consultant told me that there is nothing they can do to assist since the transaction was an assisted telephonic EFT.
I then visited the branch in Norwood shopping centre to try and resolve the issue as the payment was not reflecting on my account with COJ.
I then decided to complain to my bank via the online service. Online banking responded to me telling me that they were waiting for Standard Bank to get back to them. I then sent a second complain after 1 week had lapsed without any feedback. The response i got this time was that Standard bank could not locate the funds. I find this hard to accept since it is an EFT transaction and furthermore i was assisted telephonically.

The amount in question here is R1000 and COJ now wants to hand me over to their attorneys.
