Not helping with change of bank

Good day

I recently changed banks due to bad service. I opened up a young professional account and I am currently paying the bundled price of R199 per month. I recently settled my loan for my studies and now I am applying to have my credit cards at the other institution closed and the balance transferred to a new credit card with FNB as I am already paying for the credit card with the bundled price plan. I app**** online through FNB and I was declined. My question is why can FNB not accommodate this process. If I was able to get the credit card from the other institution years ago while I was earning next to nothing. All I want is a new Credit Card from FNB which settles my other credit card. I would like to have 1 bank with all my products by them and I heard FNB was the right choice that is why I made the change. I got my credit report and according to it my credit score is quite good. yet FNB won't let me get one. All I keep getting when I call the call centre is someone telling me that I must first close the other account and then open up a new one, unfortunately I cannot close the account until it is paid up. Please can someone have a look at this and get back to me.

Regards
