Not closing account, charging monthly service fees after account paid up.
More and more I regret moving to FNB, they seem go through every effort to frustrate and delay.
The latest spite was as follows; I settled my home loan account on 1 August 2017, to the tune of about R500k. The balance shows a round 0. Not much later they charge me 57 bucks service fee which I pay 4 August, thinking to myself that it was odd but if I didn't they would probably hold up my new home loan saying the previous account is still in arrears, even by such a small amount.
The home loan dissappears from my portfolio for a few weeks, my new application gets lodged and all seems well. This is where the FNB hit the fan.
I recieve a mail from the transferring lawyers saying there is still a R57 outstanding on my previous home loan account and I have to settle a.s.a.p and I, being dumbfounded, told them I have paid it earlier in the month.
Come September I found the old homeloan account back on my portfolio, ANOTHER R57.00 rand service charge for September and R0.05 debit order went off against my savings account.
5. Cents. Debit. Order...... For a month after the account has been settled, this begs the question if they truely want to help you as their ads suggest, they can pay me back the 5 cents they stole in 5x 1 cent installments, any action less than that will see me leave this 1 star review here (simply cause I couldn't rate them any lower) for as long as hellopeter exists.
