Non delivery of FNB credit card

I've been a loyal FNB account holder for over a decade, and I have never felt that their service has been below par, until now.

The card was due to be delivered between 11am and 5pm on Thursday, the 25th of October 2018, and numerous sms messages from Takealot.com confirmed this to the case. After 4pm, I placed a call to the customer care line of the delivery service as the courier had still not arrived and was left on hold for over fifteen minutes.

The complete lack of any communication on the part of the delivery service is disgusting, and frankly, I am appalled that FNB can still laude the slogan "How can we help you?" when they are outsourcing credit card delivery to a third party contractor who clearly has no interest in prompt service or providing a positive interaction to the customer.

I am now suspecting that FNB uses this lack of prompt service to coerce account holders to use the other option of taking delivery of their credit card from their local FNB branch for a fee of R100, as the aforementioned fee is not worth the frustration of utilizing the free delivery service. Numerous reviews of the Takealot.com delivery service have been overly negative, and I do not understand how FNB can continue to allow this issue to tarnish their reputation.

If this is not resolved promptly, I will happily take my business to another bank where the service is customer orientated.
