NO UPDATE TO A CASE LOGGED A MONTH AGO. FNB REFUSING TO CLOSE MY BANK ACC.

Good day. On the 11th January I logged a complaint regarding my money R1825 ****med off FNB premier account and they refused to take responsibility with reasons I found to be pathetic. I received a correspondence via an sms the next day that this matter is being re-opened and re-looked at and a call a day or 2 later following the sms was sent. It's almost a month later and I have not received any type of communication nor update from FNB.

I have also been trying to close my account with FNB as I do not want anything type of connection with them, this has been since the beginning of February via calling FNB in which they referred that I go to my branch. I went to FNB branch in Promenade Branch in Mitchell's Plain, where I have not been assisted, instead I'm always met with a supervisor/ team-leader (lady) who is extremely unhelpful, obstructive and difficult. Their trading hours are up to 4 pm - Mondays to Fridays, up to 12 pm on Saturdays and on Sundays they are running limited services. I'm not available during their trading hours and on Sundays they cannot assist me and that is the only day I am available because apparently when closing an account they need to check account status, if you owe or they owe you and are required to pay even if it's 10c owed to you. On Sunday they checked my account and it has a positive balance of R4 that is due to me but I cannot make it to the branch before their tellers close. I just want to close this account. They refused to pay me my R1825 but now I cannot close this account due to R4

Every time I call FNB it is just a dead end, instead when I try to confirm the name of the person attending to my query after they say they cannot help me - the phone cuts off. Today 8/2/22 I was assisted by Pauline who logged my case but and transferred me to premier banking as her access is limited, but that was a dead-end.

I NEED TO CLOSE THIS FNB ACC ASAP & AN UPDATE TO MY CASE LOGGED ALMOST A MONTH AGO.
