No sympathy
My husband passed away in March this year and since then I have been trying to sort out accounts. Why is it that when there is a credit left on the account fnb don't pay it out? The other gripe I have is, why do all the bank charges continue going through even though the bank know that the person has passed away? When one then wants to close the account the credit that was on the account has now been used up because of charges. The bank then don't reimburse the charges. I have one account that has R 85 this will not be reimbursed unless an estate account is opened.
WHY EVEN BOTHER. I have a feeling that banks do this on purpose so that people like me just give up and give them what ever is left. Just imagine how much money they are making because of this
