No statements

Informed by text that e.mail statements would no longer be sent out. Whaaat? Now I am expected to download the app and log in to get my statement. Firstly I am a Pensioner and use my phone for calls. I don't have apps and even if I did, wouldn't know what to do with them. Are the elderly no longer valued clients? I cannot imagine I am the only person in this dilemma.
