NO Service; No assistance

FNB is the reason why WE CAN’T GET A HOME LOAN!!!

My wife and I are in the process of Appling for home loans; however we can’t do so as each bank says that I have an outstanding amount of R1918 on my fusion check account.

The funny thing is this account has been closed since the beginning of the year 2022. I spend 3 weeks phoning and begging FNB for a PAID UP letter. Saying that there is NO outstanding amount, and the account is closed!!! As each FNB consultant (Customer care and in branch) could verbally confirm that the account has been closed and NO amount is outstanding.

However, In the branch I was treated like a dog, saying that FNB does not provide closure documents on Check Accounts. How is that possible???? FNB Home loans requested this document but how can they if FNB themselves cannot create such a document and send it to a department INTERANNLLY.

I have logged 5 complaints with NO RESPONSES. We need to get a home loan by the 13th of August 2022 otherwise we will not be able to purchase our home!!!

This issue could all be AVOIDED if someone could take 10min to type a LETTER!!!! That is ALL I want and NEED! Is a letter!!!!!! A letter saying the account is closed and there is NO outstanding amount. How hard can this be??? These types of issues Should NEVER happen in a bank to begin with. FNB is negatively affect MY LIFE!!!!!!!! I Hope this issue can be resolved before 13the August 2022.
