No regard for loyalty, Im switching to Standard Bank.

I have been a loyal FNB client for many years. I started on the gold account then moved up to the premier account and eventually to private clients. I have all of my banking with FNB, I even moved my pension fund to Ashburton Investments when I changed employers. However I have recieved no thanks for my loyalty. I app**** for a home loan ref *** and was offered an extremely high interest rate. I have looked after my finances and credit record very well in preparation for home ownership and I was treated like a financially irresponsible person. I asked for the rate to be reviewed and was asked to submit my qualification, the rate adjustement was a pathetic 0.05 decrease. I managed to make an application with Standard Bank, I was almost out of time and had to ask for a super fast turn around period. The entire process was completed in 4 days, compared to FNB which often had system issues and I waited 2 weeks to complete the process. Standard Bank offered me a great interest rate and I don't even bank with them, wow!!! I guess paying those bank fees and loyalty counts for nothing at FNB.

I have thus decided to move over my banking to Standard Bank where I will be able to get the benefits I deserve. I must admit I am quite disappointed with FNB, I feel betrayed and undervalued.
