No reduction in credit card limit

I have made my first request for a reduction in my credit card limit on Monday the 7th of September. I was told it would take 3 working days. I followed up on Tuesday the 15th when I realised that more than a week after my original request it hadn't been done. I was assured that the matter will be escalated and that it will be done in 6 to 12 hours. Of course it did not happen. When I phoned again this morning (16 September) I was told by a rather rude consultant that it was sent through yesterday and it will be done in the normal turnaround time of 3 working days.

A request for an increase is tended to almost immediately even though there are credit checks involved. What could possibly be so hard about decreasing a limit. I would like this to be resolved by close of business today. I have always raved about the service I receive from FNB but this could very well change that!
